A flagship hospitality company based in Vail, Colorado, is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Assistant Director of Finance to join their team. In this role, you ll oversee daily accounting operations, manage month-end processes, and handle vendor relations while fostering innovation and collaboration within a supportive team culture. The position is based at a prestigious high-end mixed-use property that combines a boutique hotel, luxury condominiums, and premium dining and spa amenities, offering a dynamic and engaging environment for professionals in hospitality finance. Salary Range: $95,000 $105,000 / year DOE
Assistant Director of Finance Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, vendor relations, and reconciliations
- Audit daily revenue and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Take ownership of month-end close processes and reporting
- Support the transition from Great Plains to NetSuite
- Build, motivate, and lead a cohesive accounting team to enhance efficiency and morale
- Collaborate with property leadership to identify and implement process improvements
- Work onsite to ensure seamless financial operations for a dynamic, high-revenue property
Assistant Director of Finance Requirements:
- Experience in hospitality accounting (hotel experience preferred but open to broader hospitality experience)
- Strong accounting skills with a focus on day-to-day financial operations
- Familiarity with accounting systems (experience with NetSuite preferred)
- A bachelor s degree in accounting or finance is required
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to foster a positive team environment
- Ability to work onsite and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
