Job Description
A luxury home construction company based in Beverly Hills, CA is seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Construction Superintendent to join their team! This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on notable, high-profile projects in the custom luxury home industry, managing the day-to-day operations of job sites for high-end residential properties. They are seeking candidates with a solid background in California construction, great communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple subcontractors while keeping projects on schedule and ensuring safety standards are met. Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 / year DOE
Assistant Construction Superintendent Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience as a construction superintendent, preferably in high-end, custom residential projects
- Strong understanding of California building codes
- Bachelor s degree is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
- Experience with hillside construction and pile-on techniques is preferred
- Proficiency with Builder Trend, Sage Master Builder, and Office 365
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must live within one hour of Beverly Hills
Assistant Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day activities on the job site, including managing subcontractors
- Ensure project deadlines are met and stay on track with the project timeline
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors, clients, and the senior project manager
- Review subcontractor bids and manage approvals for material deliveries
- Monitor job site safety and ensure compliance with California building codes
- Send project update emails and maintain tracking systems for project milestones
- Conduct weekly project meetings and provide detailed meeting notes
- Resolve conflicts and troubleshoot issues that arise on-site
- Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and ensure all requirements are met for each phase of the project
