Job Description
A specialized P&C insurance broker in Torrance, CA, is on the lookout for an ambitious Assistant Account Manager to join their team! They are looking for candidates with a background in commercial lines insurance, with experience handling small accounts to partner with an account manager to help manage daily tasks, ensuring all procedures are followed and documented. Salary Range: $65, 000 - $75, 000 / year DOE
Assistant Account Manager Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial lines insurance experience
- Ability to independently handle small accounts
- Active and valid insurance license is required
- Preferred designations like CISR or CIC
- Familiarity with Applied Tam or EPIC systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail, especially in a tech-savvy environment
- Willingness to adapt to a family-like culture that prioritizes work-life balance and internal growth
Assistant Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing small commercial accounts, including overseeing account transactions
- Order loss runs, issue certificates, endorsements, and evidence of insurance, and prepare ID cards
- Process and document insurance transactions like endorsements and renewals efficiently
- Prepare renewal and marketing files according to guidelines provided by the Account Manager
- Order Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) and perform online ratings
- Ensure compliance with established procedures and follow standard protocols using Applied Tam or EPIC
- Provide client support by answering questions and following up on their needs promptly
- Maintain high levels of organization and accuracy in a paperless environment
- Support the Account Manager in training and development, gradually transitioning to managing small accounts
