Job Description


Our client is seeking an Architectural Engineer to work in the modular building industry. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the review and submittal of building plans, supporting documentation to verify compliance and customer specifications, doing structural calculations, and code requirements. The projects will primarily be commercial buildings, such as offices and schools, but some single-family homes and concrete buildings may also be included. The ideal candidate will have experience in building design and know how to read and understand building plans.  This job is onsite in sunny Tampa, FL with the potential for paid relocation if necessary.

Pay Range: $60,000 - $72,000 DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Review and submit structural plans
  • Understand and verify compliance with building codes and customer specifications
  • Perform structural calculations
  • Coordinate with architects, construction, and manufacturing teams
  • Use company programs to check calculations for HVAC and energy systems
  • Deal with approximately 1,000 plans per year
Requirements:
  • Degree in architecture, engineering, building technology, construction, or similar (if no experience)
  • 1-3 years of work experience (if no degree)
  • Open to structural, mechanical, or building design engineers
  • Ability to read and understand building plans
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe)
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Experience in modular industry preferred
  • PE License in any state preferred
