Job Description


Our client is seeking an experienced Appliance Service Tech to join our team in Vancouver, WA. The company is a family and veteran-owned business that values their employees. The company culture values a balance of technical skills and customer service, as the Appliance Service Tech will be facing clients. The Appliance Service Tech will be responsible for servicing commercial kitchens in various industries, including restaurants, hospitals, and education. This is a contract to a permanent position with flexible working hours, with the expectation to work between 8-4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, for 40 hours a week. There may be opportunities for overtime, but it is dependent on customer demand. 

Pay Range:$62,400-$72,800 DOE

Responsibilities: 
  • Read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics 
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, gauges, and meters 
  • Use a tablet to generate work orders, complete reports, and take service calls 
  • Drive to job sites to perform appliance repairs 
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues 
  • Lift up to 70lbs and use a ladder (8ft) as needed 

Requirements: 
  • 2+ years of experience in a repair-related field, such as food equipment, auto mechanic, appliance repair, or electrical troubleshooting 
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a drug test for insurance purposes 
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot logically 
  • Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively 
  • Presentable and likeable, with a positive attitude 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently 
  • Electrical certificate preferred (07/07E, Cfesa, Nate, or Electrical)
