Job Description
A premium denim manufacturer in Vernon, CA is seeking an experienced Apparel Process Improvement Engineer to increase the output and efficiency of their newly acquired sewing factory! This role requires a blend of technical skills and leadership to manage a labor-driven environment where precision and innovation are key. They are looking for candidates with a background in apparel manufacturing who are Spanish bilingual and have the ability to work onsite in a dynamic factory setting! Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 / year DOE
Apparel Process Improvement Engineer Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, specifically in apparel manufacturing
- Bachelor s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is essential
- Ability to work on-site in a dynamic factory environment
- Experience with real-time production tracking systems is preferred
- Knowledge of shop floor control system implementation is preferred
- Must be English/Spanish bilingual
Apparel Process Improvement Engineer Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager to enhance production efficiency
- Conduct time studies and performance analyses on sewing operations
- Implement and optimize line balancing strategies
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and identify bottlenecks
- Utilize data management tools to monitor and report on production and operator performance
- Lead projects to expand factory capabilities, including machinery selection and process design
