Accounting Manager
Job Description
A leading supply chain and logistics company in Texas is searching for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity to have a key role in the company s expansion, focusing on financial analysis and the smooth integration of acquisitions. This position is perfect for a seasoned accounting professional who is a self-starter and able to be flexible with priorities while developing forward-thinking and effective processes. The job will begin as fully remote and then transition to an onsite role at their office in the Irving/Las Colinas area!
Pay Range: $90, 000 - $110, 000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Timely preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Implementing and maintaining internal controls
- Supervising accounts payable/receivable and full-cycle accounting processes
- Managing month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Assisting with financial audits, banking, and treasury functions
- Overseeing financial operations of multiple business units, including a software conversion
- Limited travel to oversee regional financial operations and staff
Requirements:
- 5-10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a distribution or inventory-focused industry
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, Vlookups)
- Supervisory experience and proven ability to manage remote teams effectively
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Experience with Epicor Prophet21 is preferred
- Previous involvement in software conversion projects is preferred
- Must be within commuting distance to Irving/Las Colinas, Texas area
