A luxury pool builder in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a dynamic Accounting Assistant to support the financial team with daily accounting tasks. Responsibilities include entering financial transactions into internal databases, reconciling invoices, and assisting with bookkeeping procedures. This role requires intermediate Excel skills, a high attention to detail, and a willingness to learn about business operations beyond the accounting department. The Accounting Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the Accounting department operates smoothly, maintaining transparency and efficiency in all transactions.
Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases
- Check spreadsheets for accuracy
- Maintain digital and physical financial records
- Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
Accounting Assistant Requirements:
- Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Organization skills
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
