AR Specialist
Job Description
A leading food and beverage manufacturer in Versailles, OH, is looking for an experienced AR Specialist to join their team! In this role, you ll be handling everything from posting cash and managing collections to building strong relationships with brokers and sales reps. You ll also be processing cash applications, opening accounts for new customers, and making credit recommendations. If you re someone who loves bringing new ideas to the table, this is a great opportunity to help shape and improve the company s AR processes. They re looking for someone with at least 3 years of AR experience who s comfortable with Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs. The company has a laid-back, friendly atmosphere, complete with occasional food trucks and fun events, making it a great place to work and grow.
AR Specialist Requirements:
- 3-5 years of AR specialist experience
- Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs
- Experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred
- Familiarity with Sage X3 is preferred (training available)
- Bachelor s degree preferred but not required
AR Specialist Responsibilities:
- Apply daily lockbox and ACH cash, ensuring accurate postings
- Respond to and manage a shared email inbox for claims, remittances, and other AR-related communications
- Monitor and manage outstanding AR weekly to ensure compliance with payment terms
- Conduct credit checks for new customers and recommend appropriate credit limits
- Collaborate with sales representatives on credit and collection matters
- Reconcile cash payments and postings during the monthly close process
