Job Description
A renowned gaming and lodging venue in Santa Ynez, CA is seeking a Policy Writer to join its team! As a Policy Writer, you will be an essential contributor to the newly established Policy Controls Department. Your responsibilities will encompass producing clear and concise written materials for policies, procedures, and internal controls, while collaborating closely with various departments and stakeholders.
The right person for this job has at least 3 years of experience with policy writing and documentation, along with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Craft written documentation for policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze, recommend, and produce high-quality documentation
- Create standardized templates for written policy materials to enhance consistency and clarity
- Review and assess existing documentation, ensuring a consistent style of documentation
- Collaborate with various teams including auditing, HR, marketing, finance, and more
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a role involving policy writing and documentation
- Strong written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to write in clear and concise language
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Human Resources, or related field
- Ability to pass thorough background checks, including gaming license requirements
- A background in HR operations or regulated industries such as legal, banking, tech, or government is preferred
- Familiarity with the gaming industry is preferred
