Job Description
A premier accounting firm that provides tax services to a diverse range of clients in Brookline, MA, is seeking a skilled Staff Tax Accountant to join their team! You will be responsible for managing a significant volume of tax returns, interacting with clients, preparing drafts for review, and assisting with various tax-related tasks. The ideal candidate should possess 1-2 years of experience, have a strong foundation in public accounting and tax, and be willing to put in long hours during the peak season!

Pay Range: They are willing to increase the salary of the candidate, if you meet all requirements.
3 years: Up to $95K/year
5 years Staff Accountant up to $120K/year
RELOCATION PACKAGE OFFERED! (Up to $5K)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage a substantial number of tax returns
- Engage with clients to address inquiries and provide professional assistance
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely deliverables
- Maintain the goal of achieving complete drafts for review and compliance with tax deadlines
- Assist with extensions, bookkeeping, quarterly estimates, planning, and training outside of tax season
- Prepare drafts for review, adhering to firm and industry standards
- Contribute to various tax-related projects and tasks as needed
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in tax and public accounting
- Strong foundation in tax principles and public accounting practices
- Knowledge of Single Member LLCs, sole proprietors, S corps, C corps, trusts, and estate tax returns
- CPA certification is preferred
- Willingness to work diligently during peak season to ensure client satisfaction
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence
- Exposure to small to medium firm environments is preferred
