A leader in top-quality explosion protection and process safety equipment is seeking a Service Technician to join their team in Fort Mill, SC! This position is responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining specialized equipment, primarily in North America, with occasional international assignments, as the role involves up to 70% travel, including mandatory training stints in Germany. Other responsibilities include performing scheduled and emergency maintenance, leading client training sessions, and resolving technical issues alongside engineering teams. This role is perfect for hands-on individuals with a strong background in electrical engineering or related fields and offers the unique chance to work in a variety of settings while directly interacting with clients.

Salary Range: $75, 000 - $100, 000 / year DOE

Service Technician Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-year Electrical Engineering Degree or 5+ years relevant experience in service/manufacturing
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and database management)
  • Willingness to participate in extensive travel and flexible work hours as required by project demands
  • Experience with CAD tools is preferred
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus

Service Technician Responsibilities:
  • Install and commission equipment at client sites, ensuring compliance with operational specifications
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance to ensure continuous operation and safety standards
  • Conduct client training on equipment operation and maintenance, providing ongoing support
  • Resolve design and operational challenges in collaboration with customers and engineering staff
  • Manage logistics for travel and on-site service, including tool preparation and trip scheduling
  • Adhere to national and international safety standards during installation and maintenance tasks
  • Maintain accurate service records and prepare reports for internal tracking and customer verification
  • Test equipment to confirm functionality and diagnose faults for corrective action
  • Supervise repair processes and junior staff during maintenance activities
