Legal Assistant
Job Description
A reputable law firm in the heart of San Jose, CA is on the lookout for a dedicated Legal Assistant to provide support to 3-4 attorneys in the civil litigation department. They are looking for a dynamic and trustworthy professional who thrives under pressure, meets deadlines with precision, and is looking for a stable, long-term career in the role. Your primary responsibilities will include general calendaring, filing forms, preparing for court appearances, and a great deal of client interaction. The firm offers an attractive salary, amazing benefits and generous amounts of time off!
Pay Range: $90, 000 - $120, 000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Manage general calendaring and scheduling for attorneys
- Assist with filing legal documents and forms
- Prepare case materials for court appearances
- Engage in frequent client interaction and communication
- Support attorneys with a high volume of civil litigation cases
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years'experience in civil litigation, preferably from larger firms accustomed to a high case volume
- Proficiency in ProLaw and World Docs is preferred
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines effectively
- Comfort with long-term commitment to the role
- Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness, especially in handling confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interactions
