Maintenance Technician
Job Description
A ceramic materials manufacturer that produces transparent materials is searching for a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Buffalo, NY! This role is to help ensure the operation efficiency of the manufacturing process, involving hands-on maintenance and repair of a variety of industrial equipment, including furnaces, hydraulic systems, and fabrication tools. They are looking for candidates with at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, specifically with furnaces, hydraulic systems, and fabrication equipment. This is a great opportunity if you’re interested in directly contributing to an innovative team that creates cutting-edge ceramic materials that are used to save lives!
Pay Range: $45,000 - $60,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on industrial manufacturing equipment, including furnaces, hydraulic systems, and fabrication tools
- Identify and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime
- Diagnose equipment issues and decide on in-house repairs or the need for outsourcing
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities and equipment status
- Assist in dismantling and checking machinery, such as pumps and bearings, for wear and tear
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, specifically with furnaces, hydraulic systems, and fabrication equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Products is essential; knowledge of PLC and Filemaker is a plus
- Strong ability to plan maintenance activities and develop preventative maintenance schedules
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to perform detailed documentation
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively within a team environment
