Job Description
A well-established travel company specializing in international inbound travel is searching for a seasoned Controller to join their team! This exciting opportunity is a fully remote role that offers the flexibility of working from anywhere, with occasional travel to New York or Los Angeles. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing detailed financial reporting to both domestic and international stakeholders, working closely with outsourced teams, and ensuring efficient financial operations. If you have at least 8 years of experience in a senior accounting role, with the ability to coordinate effectively with global teams, this might be the chance you’ve been waiting for to enjoy the comfort of a remote work setting!
Pay Range: $150,000 - $175,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Oversee comprehensive financial reporting, ensuring compliance with both domestic and international accounting standards
- Coordinate with global accounting teams to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency
- Manage critical financial tasks, including cash flow management, forecasting, and overseeing month-end and year-end closing processes
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with financial institutions and international offices to ensure smooth financial operations
- Contribute to the development and optimization of financial reporting systems and procedures
- Ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial information for executive decision-making and strategic planning
- Implement and oversee internal financial controls and compliance with financial regulations
- Guide and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role, demonstrating consistent career growth and responsibility
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
- Experience managing financial operations on an international scale, including working with diverse cultures and business practices
- Proficiency in key financial software and systems, with a strong preference for ADP and Microsoft Dynamics ERP
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate across various cultural environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
