Fixed Assets Senior Accountant
Job Description
An industry leading and cutting-edge biotech company that works with farmers and ranchers is searching for a Fixed Asset Senior Accountant to join their team in Navasota, TX! The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and oversee the company's fixed assets, including biological assets, while handling accounting transactions, reconciliations, and reporting. This is a unique chance to be part of a cool, innovative and green industry at a ground-breaking company! Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and managing fixed assets, including biological assets (agriculture)
- Processing transactions, transfers, and posting journal entries
- Performing adjustments and reconciliations
- Engaging in month-end closing activities
- Collaborating with operations on special case management
- Establishing and contributing to reporting processes
- Handling ad hoc projects and duties as the team evolves
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proficiency in ERP & Excel usage, with Oracle Cloud and Apex experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Public accounting experience is preferred
- CPA certification is preferred
- Background in biotech or food industry is preferred
- Experience with fixed assets is preferred
