Sr Accountant - Investment Fund
Job Description
A financial services company for banks across the US is searching for a Senior Accountant to join their renewables division! This is a fantastic opportunity to work out of a modern office, with a friendly team in a hybrid position based out of Las Vegas, NV. They are looking for someone with at least 2 years of full cycle accounting experience and preferably a background in Real Estate, PE, Solar, fund accounting or public accounting. By joining this team, you’ll enjoy a great work atmosphere, in a forward-thinking industry and have the perfect balance of in-office and remote work!
Pay Range: $85,000 - $105,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Support the finance team with treasury management, including overseeing banking activities and managing cash flow
- Manage accounting processes for renewable energy tax equity funds, ensuring accurate financial statements
- Assist the controller in the analysis and reporting of operating results, financial forecasts, and key performance indicators
- Prepare quarterly proforma journal entries for investors
- Lead initiatives to improve fund accounting, asset management reporting, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate efficient and effective audit processes
- Support the completion of tax filings and handle various tasks related to solar investments
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in full-cycle accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable ERP systems
- Experience in Real Estate, Private Equity, Solar, Fund Accounting, or public accounting with a focus on tax is advantageous
- CPA certification or substantial public accounting experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with tax regulations and investment fund operations
