Fleet Service Manager
Job Description
A large truck rental and leasing company in Fontana, CA is seeking a Fleet Service Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of their service department! They are looking for a dynamic individual with a background in fleet management within the trucking industry, who has strong leadership qualities and budgeting skills. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the service department of a fleet of large trucks by managing the budget, maintaining customer relations and leading a team of supervisors and technicians to ensure safe and efficient fleet maintenance and repair.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $115,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and meet the department's annual budget
- Review the department's budget daily, analyze variances, and schedule expenditures
- Maintain excellent customer relations and visit customers as needed
- Oversee the human resource and personnel functions of the department, including selecting, training, scheduling, counseling, and disciplining employees
- Conduct weekly safety meetings with the team
- Address and resolve customer complaints
- Ensure safety compliance and mitigation of repairs
- Monitor revenue and department purchase order approvals
- Supervise two supervisors and a service coordinator
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience working in a service department within the trucking industry
- 5+ years of managerial experience in the trucking industry, managing at least two people
- Fleet experience with medium/heavy trucks
- Budgeting experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Technician experience is preferred
- P&L background is preferred
