Litigation Employment Attorney
Job Description
A boutique law firm in Pasadena, California, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong background in employment law and a minimum of 5-7 years of litigation experience. This is a great role for a talented attorney who is passionate about handling all phases of litigation, who values both personal and professional development and is looking to join a dedicated, close-knit and collaborative team where you get to take on meaningful cases and make a real impact on complex employment matters! The firm offers a flexible work schedule with hybrid options after training and a clear path for career growth, including potential advancement to partnership.
Salary Range: $175,000 base salary
Litigation Associate Requirements:
- 5-7 years of litigation experience in federal and/or state court, specifically in employment law
- Active license to practice law in California and residency in the local area
- Proficiency with Adobe, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with ProLaw (not required) is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to meet billable hour requirements
Litigation Associate Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in employment law litigation in both federal and state courts
- Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver high-quality client service
- Attend client meetings, depositions, and court appearances as needed
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, with potential compensation for client generation
