Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Description
A leading construction company specializing in site work including demolition, sediment control, grading, paving, and utilities is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join their team in Baltimore, MD! They are looking for candidates with at least 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery such as Cat 336 excavators, Cat 953 loaders, and Dozer D5 or equivalent, with 3 years preferred. Salary Range: $24 - $29 / hour DOE
Heavy Equipment Operator Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment (Cat 336 excavator, Cat 953 loader, Dozer D5 or equivalent);3+ years preferred
- High school diploma
- Relevant equipment operation certifications preferred
- Reliable, stable, capable of following strict safety and operational procedures
- Must be able to work safely in small and confined spaces, handle physical tasks including hand digging
Heavy Equipment Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery including Cat 336 excavators, Cat 953 loaders, and Dozer D5 or equivalent for various site works
- Participate in demolition, sediment control, grading, paving, and utilities setup as per project needs
- Adhere to all safety guidelines to ensure safe operation environments;participate in safety training sessions
- Perform basic maintenance and checks on equipment to ensure operational efficiency
- Work under the supervision of the Vice President and collaborate with a team of 25 foremen and other site specialists
- Follow direct and clear instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members
