As we continue to grow, we are searching for a polished and personable Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist to support our accounting department as we continue to grow! This role is essential for overseeing the influx and outflow of company funds, consisting of a blend of invoice processing and soft B2B collections responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is both accurate and precise as well as confident in making phone calls and sending emails to establish an excellent rapport and remind clients of outstanding invoices. We are looking for a strong communicator with exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills who is persuasive, persistent, and highly organized.

The ideal candidate is a direct communicator with a strong background in AR/AP, demonstrating a solid understanding of GAAP and the ability to work at high-speed capacity with hyper attention to detail. We are looking for someone flexible with great longevity who is both self-motivated and works well in a team.

Position: AR/AP Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Regularly monitor and manage overdue accounts and invoices, ensuring timely payment collections
• Handle accounts payable tasks, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and maintaining accurate vendor records
• Engage in soft B2B collections efforts through phone, email, and text to encourage timely payments
• Accurately record and reconcile payments received, keeping financial records up-to-date
• Address and resolve invoice discrepancies in coordination with internal teams and external clients/vendors
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and vendors, building strong professional relationships
• Implement and suggest improvements to streamline AR/AP processes for better efficiency and accuracy
• Keep detailed records of all collections and payment activities to ensure compliance and transparency
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills, managing multiple tasks with professionalism and efficiency

Requirements:

• Experience in AR/AP or B2B collections as an AR/AP Clerk, Collections Specialist, or similar role
• Knowledge of financial statements and the ability to prepare accounting reports
• Solid understanding of GAAP and related financial regulations
• Basic understanding of legal requirements and billing procedures related to AR/AP and collection techniques
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work at high-speed capacity
• Proficiency in NetSuite, MS Office, Excel Spreadsheets and accounting software
• Comfortable with phone, email, and text communications
• Expert negotiation skills with the ability to navigate difficult conversations confidently
• Self-motivated with a sense of urgency
• Must be independently proactive and work well in a team
• Demonstrated longevity in previous roles
• Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred
