Job Description

A well-known and trusted law firm is seeking an experienced and proactive Paralegal to join a dynamic legal team in Santa Barbara. This role will support attorneys in real estate, business formation, estate planning, and litigation matters. Key responsibilities include document preparation, discovery and deadline management, maintaining organized case files, and assisting attorneys with trial preparation and legal research. The paralegal will also handle court filings and track case progress to ensure efficient case management. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and highly organized professional who can anticipate needs, take initiative, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Candidates should have experience in transactional law and litigation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $75,000 / year DOE

 Assist attorneys with document production and organization using forms and templates

  • Support attorneys in real estate transactions, business formations, probate matters, and litigation
  • Coordinate and track case details, keeping attorneys informed of key dates and requirements
  • Utilize Word and Outlook for document creation and calendaring

    • 2-4+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience in real estate, business law, estate planning, or probate

  • Experience in litigation procedures, including discovery, court filings, and trial preparation
  • Paralegal certificate preferred but not required if experience aligns

    • Annual discretionary bonus based on firm performance

  • IRA with discretionary match
  • Opportunity for growth into a lead paralegal or office manager role
