Position Title: Senior Business Analyst

The organization seeks a Senior Business Analyst to identify and evaluate opportunities for business growth. This role involves analyzing data, constructing financial models, and translating insights into actionable recommendations for leadership. The position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and a collaborative approach to work closely with the CFO and Controller. Candidates should be prepared to navigate the challenges of establishing processes in a newly created role. The ideal candidate will contribute to strategic decision-making while supporting the company’s continued growth and development.

Senior Business Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Work with leaders to define business opportunities and success metrics
  • Analyze internal and external data, including market trends and competition
  • Build financial models, such as NPV and IRR
  • Perform scenario and “what-if” analyses to support decision-making
  • Turn analysis into clear summaries and recommendations for leadership
  • Identify growth opportunities and cost-saving initiatives
  • Research revenue opportunities using vendors and industry data
  • Create dashboards and reports to track performance
  • Prepare materials for leadership and board meetings
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly and effectively
  • Maintain documentation of models and data sources
  • Support proposal and investment documentation
  • Track timelines and deliverables for business cases
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
  • Support budgeting and strategic planning processes
  • Travel as needed for meetings or presentations
  • Follow all company policies and safety standards

Senior Business Analyst Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 3–7+ years of experience, with a strong accounting background
  • Advanced Excel proficiency is required
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Teams)
  • Manufacturing industry experience is required
  • Agricultural manufacturing or ethanol experience is preferred
  • Experience with data tools, such as Power BI, is preferred
