Job Description
Position Title: Project Manager
The Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget and schedule. This position requires collaboration with architects, consultants, owners, subcontractors, vendors, and the public to maintain high standards of service and relationships. Managing a team that includes a Project Engineer, Superintendent, and Administrative Assistant is essential for success. The role demands a focus on high-end clients and intricate project details, making effective communication and teamwork vital. Candidates should be prepared to navigate the challenges of high-end projects and demanding client expectations.
Salary Range: $150,000 – $160,000 / Year DOE
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage the construction process from preconstruction to project completion
- Oversee project estimating, bidding, and analysis
- Prepare and execute prime contracts
- Create project schedules and conduct constructability reviews
- Monitor permit preparation and filing
- Identify and review value engineering opportunities with the project team
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and clients
- Ensure compliance with construction practices and methods
Project Manager Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in project management
- BA in business, civil engineering, or construction management is highly preferred
- Experience working with a general contractor is required
- Proficiency in Procore software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project for scheduling is preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in commercial or high-end residential projects
- Strong ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of construction practices, sequences, and methods
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
- A high level of technical acumen is required
- Experience with commercial tenant improvements is preferred
- Family-oriented and long-term employment mindset is preferred
