Job Description
Position Title: Dispatcher/Driver Supervisor
One person owns every load that moves through this fleet, and that person sits at the center of a fast-moving freight operation in Channelview, Texas. The Dispatcher/Driver Supervisor leads a self-sufficient team of 13 drivers, with plans to grow to about 20, and handles all freight dispatch from the office. This is a salaried, office-based leadership position. It does not involve driving.
The work centers on over-dimensional and over-length freight. The role schedules drivers, pulls Texas oversize and over-length permits, builds and quotes routes without routing software, and keeps pricing current as market rates change. Key customers speak to dispatch directly, which makes relationship skills part of the daily work. Recurring runs are already established, so the team does not need close monitoring. The focus stays on reprioritizing quickly when hot orders and emergencies arrive. The position also offers room to take on more over time, including projects, the tool room, or parts deliveries and pickups. The current dispatcher is available for training and remote support during the transition.
Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 / Year DOE
