Position Title: Construction Coordinator

The Construction Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting PEMB and structural systems projects by preparing takeoffs, compiling material and labor costs, and soliciting and analyzing vendor quotes. This position requires collaboration with sales, engineering, and preconstruction teams to translate project requirements into clear scopes. The coordinator must ensure the accuracy of estimates and proposals while continuously improving team processes and efficiency. The role demands quick turnaround times and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple team members with varying preferences. A successful candidate will thrive in a team-oriented culture that is evolving toward structured growth.

Construction Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Prepare takeoffs and quantity analysis for PEMB and structural systems
  • Collect and compile cost estimates, including materials, labor, and buyout components
  • Utilize estimating and design software such as ABIS, MBS, and Excel
  • Solicit and analyze vendor quotes for third-party materials
  • Compare vendor pricing for accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and preconstruction teams
  • Translate customer requirements into clear, buildable scopes
  • Identify gaps, conflicts, or risks in project documents
  • Support design optimization efforts to improve cost and efficiency
  • Prepare complete and professional proposal packages
  • Clearly define inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions
  • Assist the sales team in preparing proposals for submission
  • Identify opportunities to enhance estimating speed, accuracy, and systems
  • Refine internal estimating processes and workflows

Construction Coordinator Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years supporting or coordinating preconstruction or estimating teams, ideally in the manufacturing or pre-engineered metal building industry
  • Experience in preparing cost estimates and proposal packages, obtaining quotes, and comparing vendor pricing
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Experience using estimating and/or project management software
  • Experience with metal buildings on the manufacturing or erection side is preferred
