A trusted leader in the restoration and painting industry is hiring a Senior Project Manager in Coconut Creek, FL. This person will step in as the strategic leader behind 35+ active construction projects and will be the direct manager of five project managers. This role owns the high-level conversations with the HOAs, attorneys, engineers, and stakeholders where change orders, disputes, contracts, and money meet. You’ll oversee profitability, job costing, subcontractor performance, and field execution while acting as the right hand to the owner. They are looking for a calm, seasoned construction leader who communicates with authority, solves problems under pressure, and can confidently take over the work that has been on the owner’s plate for years.

Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of five project managers
• Manage the progress and execution of 35+ active construction projects
• Serve as the primary point of contact for HOAs, attorneys, engineers, and high-level stakeholders
• Navigate negotiations involving change orders, additional work, pricing disputes, and contract interpretation
• Coordinate and direct subcontractors; resolve field disputes or performance issues
• Spend approximately 50% of time visiting job sites to verify progress and troubleshoot
• Maintain accurate documentation, including contracts, change orders, and job reports
• Provide project status updates, financial insights, and issue escalations to ownership
• Work closely with the construction accountant to ensure accurate job cost and financial controls
• Prepare payroll hours for a biweekly payroll of approximately 150 employees
• Maintain clear, professional communication across clients, PMs, subs, and internal teams
• Uphold project quality, timelines, and profitability across all active jobs
• Support a flexible, self-directed workflow while staying highly responsive to stakeholders

Senior Project Manager Requirements:

• 8+ years of construction project management experience
• 2+ years leading project managers or overseeing PM-level teams
• Strong experience with construction contracts, job costing, and change order management
• Proven ability to handle difficult stakeholder conversations with patience and professionalism
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage large-scale, multi-site construction portfolios
• Willingness to work both in the field and in the office, depending on project needs
• Flexible, self-directed work style=””>Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and represent the company confidently
• Deep familiarity with South Florida’s construction market preferred
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills preferred
• Experience collaborating with accounting teams on job costing and financial controls preferred
• High-level client-facing communication experience preferred
• Ability to mentor, develop, and elevate a PM team preferred
• Experience negotiating complex contracts and resolving disputes preferred
