Job Description
Position Title: Batch Operator
A growing specialty manufacturing company in Nashua, NH, is seeking a Batch Operator to support daily production, operate industrial mixing and dispensing equipment, and ensure accurate preparation of chemical and pigment-based products. This hands-on role involves measuring raw materials, following batch formulas, operating specialized machinery, performing quality checks, and assisting with packaging and shipping preparation in a collaborative production environment.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented, with strong basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. Previous manufacturing or chemical processing experience is a plus, but motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and the ability to follow detailed instructions are encouraged to apply.
Pay Range: $27- $28 / hour, DOE
Responsibilities
- Measure, weigh, and mix raw materials according to written formulas and production specifications
- Operate industrial batch mixers, dispensing equipment, scales, shakers, and curing equipment
- Enter and verify formulas, monitor dispensing processes, and maintain accurate batch documentation
- Perform product drawdowns, prepare samples for quality control, and ensure proper labeling and identification
- Package finished products, prepare shipments, and assist with palletizing, staging, and material handling
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment while following established safety procedures
- Support additional manufacturing operations, equipment maintenance, and general plant tasks as production needs change
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing, chemical processing, coatings, or industrial production experience preferred but not required
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, accurately record measurements, and perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to approximately 55 pounds
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work around chemicals and industrial machinery
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized production equipment, weighing systems, and forklift operations
- Dependable attendance, strong initiative, and ability to work independently while contributing to a small team
- Ability to communicate effectively in English to understand safety procedures and production instructions
