You’ll join a nationally recognized plaintiff personal injury firm in Calabasas, representing adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse in high-stakes civil litigation. As an Personal Injury Associate Attorney, you’ll support Lead and Trial Attorneys while managing your own caseload, conducting research and writing, taking depositions, preparing clients, attending hearings, negotiating resolutions and second-chairing trials. Salary Range: $180,000 – $200,000 / Year DOE

Personal Injury Associate Attorney Responsibilities:  

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 50 plaintiff personal injury matters involving sexual abuse claims
  • Support Lead and Trial Attorneys while independently handling portions of litigation
  • Attend hearings, mediations, depositions and trial preparation sessions
  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, briefs, discovery responses and pleadings
  • Work directly with survivors, ensuring sensitive client communication and trauma-informed support
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses, investigators, forensic professionals and mental-health experts
  • Review and organize complex evidence and case files
  • Strategize and develop litigation plans that drive strong case outcomes
  • Assist with trial preparation and serve as second chair when needed
  • Maintain meticulous case management and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment

Personal Injury Associate Attorney Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of litigation experience
  • Plaintiff personal injury litigation experience required
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Experience in hearings, depositions, mediation and trial preparation
  • Excellent legal writing, research and courtroom advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage heavy caseloads with organization and accuracy
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to support vulnerable clients
  • Strong collaborative mindset—friendly, professional and team-oriented
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using case-management systems
  • Neos experience a plus
  • Balanced personality: aggressive in advocacy, never aggressive with people
