This role is for a tenacious litigator who thrives on high-stakes personal injury work and delivers results with both empathy and drive. You’ll manage plaintiff-side personal injury cases from inception through trial in San Diego drafting pleadings and motions, conducting depositions, negotiating with insurance carriers, preparing clients for court and making decisions that drive outcomes. Personal Injury Associate Attorney Responsibilities:

  • Handle personal injury cases from intake through litigation and resolution
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, deposition outlines and trial briefs
  • Conduct and defend depositions, attend hearings and represent clients in court
  • Prepare clients for mediation, arbitration and trial
  • Negotiate settlements with insurers and opposing counsel
  • Gather and analyze evidence, consult with experts and strategize case approaches
  • Maintain organized case files, monitor deadlines and ensure flawless case progression
  • Provide exceptional communication to clients about case status and next steps
  • Collaborate with support staff, paralegals and investigators to deliver timely results

Personal Injury Associate Attorney Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active California State Bar license in good standing
  • Proven personal injury litigation experience
  • Strong courtroom advocacy skills and confidence in settlement negotiation
  • Excellent legal writing, research and communication skills
  • Capacity to manage a robust caseload while maintaining attention to detail
  • Client-driven mindset, professional demeanor, and emotional intelligence
  • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
