Job Description

A family-owned food and beverage manufacturing company that has been crafting premium syrups and beverage concentrates for over 60 years is hiring a Production Manager in Orlando, FL. They are seeking a Production Manager who will take ownership of day-to-day plant performance, lead three Supervisors and their production teams, and drive continuous improvement across quality, efficiency, and safety. They are looking for a hands-on leader with food and beverage experience who thrives in a fast-moving environment, knows how to motivate teams, and can help scale production as the company continues its rapid expansion.

Production Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all production activities and provide direct leadership to three Production Supervisors and indirect oversight of 30+ employees and seasonal/temp labor
  • Collaborate closely with scheduling, supply chain, and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, in-full manufacturing performance
  • Monitor and respond to daily production KPIs, including line performance, waste reduction, inventory accuracy, and labor efficiency
  • Troubleshoot escalated issues across equipment, processes, materials, or quality deviations
  • Ensure compliance with SQF, USDA, FDA, and internal food safety standards
  • Lead root-cause analysis for quality concerns and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate with maintenance for downtime planning and equipment optimization
  • Support production planning across 400+ active SKUs with varied formulation and changeover complexities
  • Participate in strategic improvement initiatives, including staffing allocation, workflow changes, and process upgrades
  • Champion a safe working environment and reinforce team accountability

Production Manager Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Production Management or Supervisory experience in a food & beverage manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of SQF/FDA/USDA regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency using ERP systems
  • Ability to lead through others, train Supervisors, and build a high-trust culture
  • Experience managing budgets, production reporting, and operational KPIs
  • Flexible schedule to support early shift meetings and production demands
  • Bilingual Spanish/English highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering, or related field
  • Experience supporting growth expansions or footprint changes
