Job Description

Position Title: Quality Control System Manager

The Quality Control System Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the quality control program at a sophisticated radar facility in Alaska. This position involves managing project-based quality control personnel and ensuring that all work meets government specifications. The manager will face challenges related to maintaining full transparency and effective communication within the team. Candidates must be prepared for a demanding schedule, working seven days a week for four weeks straight in a remote environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Quality Control System Manager Responsibilities:

  • Interface with government QA personnel on a daily basis
  • Observe work in progress to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Review and submit documentation to government agencies
  • Oversee subcontractor documentation
  • Coordinate with QC consultants and testing agencies
  • Manage project engineers and delegate tasks as necessary
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all team members
  • Promote a culture of transparency and accountability

Quality Control System Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management from an ABET-accredited program
  • Five years of experience as a Quality Control Manager on projects similar to DOD or NAVFAC, with budgets of $20 million or more
  • Must be a US citizen or naturalized citizen
  • Completion of the Construction Quality Management for Contractors course, with recertification possible within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to travel and work in remote locations with limited medical access
  • Valid state driver’s license and qualification to operate a vehicle under Brice Builders’ Driving Policy
  • Experience managing large-scale projects with budgets between $5 million and $50 million
  • Proficiency in RMS
  • Exceptional technical writing skills
