A manufacturer of custom printed packaging is seeking an ambitious Outside Sales Executive to grow and manage accounts across Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. This is a hybrid role focused heavily on prospecting and relationship-building in the field, with the support of an experienced team behind you. The ideal candidate is a driven, B2B sales professional who thrives on autonomy, is quick on their feet, and excels at tailoring solutions for each client.
Outside Sales Executive Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a territory across CT and Western MA, focusing on folding cartons, beverage, food, and industrial packaging
 - Prospect for new business via door-to-door visits, cold calls, lead generation, and networking
 - Prepare quotes, collaborate with internal teams on custom designs and pricing, and present tailored proposals to clients
 - Maintain and grow long-term relationships with assigned accounts and house leads
 - Meet or exceed sales targets
 - Attend weekly sales meetings and collect product samples at HQ
 - Schedule and attend in-person client meetings 4–5 days per week; some remote work for planning/admin is permitted
 - Continuously identify new opportunities to enhance customer packaging and add value
 
Outside Sales Executive Requirements:
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience (product or service), ideally with a custom solution component
 - Track record of success in prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals
 - Must reside in Connecticut or Western Massachusetts and be willing to travel throughout the territory
 - Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be confident, consultative, and responsive
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
 - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
 - Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
 - Background in packaging, printing, or manufacturing is a strong plus
