Job Description
A national nonprofit committed to one mission: improving teaching to elevate student success, is seeking a Partnership Development Coordinator. They partner with school systems across the country to transform instructional practices, develop strong leaders, and create sustainable change. This Partnership Development Coordinator role is new and will expand the organization’s reach by cultivating high-impact relationships with state leaders, district decision-makers, and philanthropic partners who share their commitment to educators and students. This role blends strategy, relationship building, and project execution. The right candidate is energized by mission-driven growth, knows how to open doors, and thrives when driving meaningful partnerships that move education forward.
Partnership Development Coordinator Responsibilities:
· Plan and execute site visits, presentations, and engagements with key stakeholders
- Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and contextual insights for partner meetings
 - Support development of strategic partnership plans
 - Research and pursue opportunities to position the organization on state and national approved vendor lists
 - Collaborate with Regional Directors to identify and prioritize prospective partners
 - Build and maintain state-specific policy profiles to guide decision-making
 - Serve as a trusted connector between internal teams and external stakeholders
 - Maintain strong follow-up discipline and exceptional partner care
 - Track KPIs and manage dashboards to measure partnership performance
 - Analyze partner insights to identify emerging needs and inform product/service improvements
 - Maintain accurate records and reporting within internal systems
 
Partnership Development Coordinator Requirements:
- 10 – 15 years of progressive experience in partnership development, relationship-based fundraising, or nonprofit sales
 - Strong understanding of education issues and teacher/leader effectiveness priorities
 - Bachelor’s degree
 - Proven ability to build trust and long-term partner relationships
 - High-level project management and organizational skills
 - Capable of taking guidance and running independently with strong follow-through
 - Excellent communication skills and executive presence
 - Mission-driven mindset rooted in service and meaningful impact
 - Nonprofit education or philanthropy sector background preferred
 - Salesforce or CRM familiarity preferred
