Job Description

Position Title: Global Investment Analyst & Assistant Portfolio Manager

Build your investment career doing real stock-picking work, not sitting on the sidelines. We are seeking a Global Investment Analyst & Assistant Portfolio Manager to join a growing investment management firm and work directly with a Senior Portfolio Manager on global equity research, portfolio construction and private-client investment management.

This role will focus primarily on fundamental research supporting an actively managed global equity strategy, including financial modeling, valuation, company analysis and the development of complete investment theses. The position will also provide exposure to high-net-worth and institutional portfolio management, trading, Investment Committee discussions and occasional client and prospect presentations.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, analytical and genuinely passionate about investing and individual stock selection. They will bring a strong foundation in fundamental equity research and financial modeling while remaining eager to learn, challenge assumptions and develop into a well-rounded investor.

Salary Range: $75,000 – $120,000 / Year DOE

Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep fundamental research on public companies across U.S., international developed and emerging markets
  • Build scenario-based five-year financial models incorporating income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and discounted cash flow analysis
  • Perform valuation analysis using methodologies such as DCF, NPV, DDM, SOTP and private market value
  • Develop clear investment theses evaluating profitability, normalized ROIC, competitive positioning, management quality, balance-sheet strength, risks and long-term opportunities
  • Support portfolio management activities for high-net-worth and institutional accounts, including account monitoring, rebalancing and trading across equities, fixed income and alternative investments
  • Participate in Investment Committee discussions and contribute independent, well-supported perspectives on securities, portfolio construction, performance and risk
  • Assist with investment reporting, fact sheets, board presentations, marketing materials and occasional client and prospect meetings

Requirements

  • Approximately 3–4 years of relevant professional experience in fundamental public-equity research, individual-stock investing, portfolio management, or a closely related investment role
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, quantitative and qualitative investment analysis skills
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate individual companies and translate financial analysis into a clear, defensible investment thesis
  • Experience with portfolio monitoring, rebalancing, trading, or other investment management responsibilities
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and working proficiency with FactSet and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to discuss investment ideas with colleagues, clients, and prospects
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher and the ability to work primarily in the Scottsdale office, with occasional travel

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Paid parental leave
  • Financial support for professional accreditation and continuing education
  • Hybrid flexibility with occasional work-from-home opportunities
  • Direct mentorship and long-term professional development
  • Opportunity to grow from investment research and assistant portfolio management into broader portfolio management responsibilities

If you are passionate about stock picking, want your research to influence real investment decisions, and are ready to develop alongside experienced portfolio managers, we encourage you to apply.
