Position Title: Litigation Attorney

A trusted legal partner is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their collaborative and client-focused team.In this role, you’ll handle a broad range of civil litigation matters, including employment, civil rights, tax, environmental, real estate, and contract disputes, while also assisting with transactional and advisory work as needed. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of litigation and counsel work and is passionate about supporting local government clients. They are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented attorney with strong writing and analytical skills who is comfortable managing cases and working collaboratively with clients and colleagues. Ideal for someone looking to grow long-term within a stable, professional, and supportive firm with strong tenure across the team.

Salary range: $140,000 – $170,000 / Year DOE

Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters, including employment, civil rights, tax, environmental, real estate, and contract disputes

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related filings

• Conduct legal research, case analysis, and develop litigation strategies

• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings

• Manage discovery, including document review and preparation of written discovery

• Provide legal counsel to local government clients on litigation risks and dispute resolution

• Assist with transactional work; contract drafting, review, and negotiation as needed

• Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting municipal and county clients

• Collaborate with partners and team members to effectively manage cases and client matters

Litigation Attorney Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in civil litigation

• Experience working with local government entities is preferred

• Exposure to matters involving employment, civil rights, tax, environmental, real estate, or contract disputes is a plus

• J.D. from an accredited law school

• Active license to practice law in Georgia

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet monthly billable goals

• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills

• Familiarity with Georgia municipal or county law is a plus
