A well-respected North Dallas Family Law Firm is hiring a Family Law Paralegal who is confident owning a case from start to finish. This role supports a highly respected senior attorney handling a busy portfolio of high-end family law matters. You’ll draft pleadings, manage deadlines, keep cases organized and ensure clients feel supported, especially during the toughest moments of their lives. They want a true professional: proactive, detail-sharp, patient with clients and unshakeable under pressure. Someone who takes initiative, sees what’s needed and does it without waiting to be asked.

Family Law Paralegal Responsibilities:

        Manage 50 – 60 active family law cases from open to close

        Draft pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and court-ready documents

        Maintain calendars, deadlines, hearings and court requirements with zero misses

        Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel and court personnel

        Organize and maintain accurate, up-to-date case files and supporting materials

        Prepare attorneys for hearings, trials and mediations

        Log time accurately in the firm’s case/time management system

        Follow up proactively with attorneys to keep matters moving forward

Family Law Paralegal Requirements:

        5 – 7 years of family law litigation experience including drafting + calendaring

        Strong working knowledge of Texas family law procedure

        Tech-savvy with experience using legal time-entry or case management systems

        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

        Ability to stay composed and compassionate when clients are stressed

        Self-starter who anticipates needs, owns priorities and delivers without handholding

        Able to work with urgency and shift demands as needed

        Board Certification in Family Law preferred

        Bachelor’s degree preferred
