One of San Diego’s fastest-growing design-build firms is hiring a Residential Construction Project Manager to take full ownership of field operations by managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communication across multiple active projects. You’ll oversee 6 – 7 projects at a time, ensure quality workmanship, and keep everything moving on time and on budget. From city permitting to daily site visits, this is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on building beautiful spaces and running smooth, efficient job sites. They are looking for a sharp, motivated, detail-driven project manager who owns their work, leads with confidence, and knows how to keep multiple moving parts perfectly in sync.

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 / Year DOE

Residential Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Oversee 6 – 7 active residential projects
• Manage full project lifecycle
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and permitting
• Oversee ground-up builds, ADUs, custom homes, multifamily projects, and large remodels
• Track budgets, ensure cost control, and proactively resolve issues
• Conduct daily site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality
• Manage city permitting, inspection scheduling, and compliance documentation
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders
• Maintain detailed records and ensure alignment between office, field, and ownership teams

Residential Construction Project Manager Requirements:

• 3 – 5 years of residential construction project management experience
• Proven success overseeing ground-up or large-scale remodel projects
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Buildertrend
• Knowledge of city permitting processes and building codes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and accountability for deliverables
