Job Description
A leading commercial construction company based in Blaine, Minnesota, is seeking a proactive Drywall/Paint Project Coordinator to support large-scale commercial drywall and painting projects, including both new construction and tenant improvement work. This role plays a key part in coordinating bids, tracking budgets, managing change orders, communicating with clients and suppliers, and assisting with overall project documentation and organization. The ideal candidate is detail-driven, tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and follow-through are essential.
Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 / year DOE
Drywall/Paint Project Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and coordination support to project management teams throughout all phases of construction projects
- Assist with reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documentation
- Prepare and distribute bids, track submissions, and handle follow-up communications
- Coordinate and process change orders, RFIs, and related documentation
- Maintain communication with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment
- Support project scheduling, task tracking, and progress updates
- Process vendor and subcontractor invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist with monitoring budgets and maintaining project cost records
- Participate in occasional site visits to review project progress and support field coordination
Drywall/Paint Project Coordinator Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Project Coordinator or Project Administrator role within commercial construction
- Background supporting subcontractor or general contractor operations in interior or structural trades
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general project management tools
- Comfortable working with construction management and accounting software systems
- Experience tracking and processing change orders, RFIs, and vendor/subcontractor invoices
- Familiarity with project budgeting and financial tracking processes
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Degree in construction management or a related field preferred but not required
