A growing financial services firm based in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, is seeking a Trader to join their team. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative, ready to manage trading operations, client requests, and custodian interactions while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented culture focused on growth and client success.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $100,000 / year base DOE

Trader Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Director of Operations
• Manage daily trading operations including account rebalancing, block trading, and fixed income transactions
• Process money movement requests such as withdrawals, journals, and wire transfers
• Monitor and maintain data accuracy within portfolio management and trading systems
• Coordinate with advisors to address account updates, deposits, transfers, and client inquiries
• Communicate with custodial partners regarding trade requests, service matters, and corrections
• Support integrations and reconciliations to ensure accurate trade and performance data
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance trading efficiency and overall client service

Trader Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in a Broker/Dealer, Registered Investment Advisor, or Custodian trade operations environment
• Active Series 7 license required
• Strong understanding of securities markets across equities, fixed income, and options
• Highly analytical, organized, and detail-focused with the ability to work independently
• Strong written communication and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines effectively
• Experience with major custodial platforms preferred
• Familiarity with portfolio management and trading software a plus
