Job Description

Position Title: Service Advisor

The Service Advisor plays a crucial role in managing client relationships within the financial services sector. This position involves both sales and service aspects, requiring a balance between closing new deals and nurturing existing client accounts. The advisor will handle a diverse portfolio of clients, addressing their needs and guiding them through various financial processes. Challenges include effectively communicating complex information to an older clientele and maintaining a high level of service. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative and technology-driven environment, adapting to varying work hours as necessary to meet client demands.

Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 / Year DOE

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 300 active households, providing ongoing support and service
  • Field calls and emails from clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues
  • Conduct regular client meetings to review financial goals and provide updates
  • Guide clients through processes such as beneficiary changes and retirement planning
  • Create educational video content for clients on various topics
  • Perform annual reviews and proactive outreach to ensure alignment with client objectives
  • Handle distribution requests and rebalancing of portfolios as needed

Service Advisor Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a service advisor role within financial services
  • Possession of a Series 65 (or 66/63) license
  • Knowledge of required minimum distributions, rebalancing, and annuities
  • A state life and health license is mandatory
  • Proficient in technology with a strong command of Excel
  • Comfortable being filmed for client presentations
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Experience with Schwab is preferred
