A dynamic and expanding financial services firm in Greenville, South Carolina, is looking for an Advanced Tax Specialist to bring strategic insight and proven expertise to their team. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll go beyond simply reviewing tax returns—you’ll uncover opportunities, solve complex tax challenges, and deliver forward-thinking strategies that make a real impact. Working side by side with a team of skilled financial planners, you’ll help create comprehensive, holistic plans that give clients clarity and confidence in their financial future. Advanced Tax Specialist Responsibilities:

• Review individual tax returns and ensure accuracy
• Identify potential issues or taxable events within client returns
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients
• Conduct financial analysis to determine the viability of conversions and other strategies
•  Support financial planning teams by integrating tax considerations into client plans
• Prepare tax documents as needed
• Participate in client meetings and explain tax implications clearly
• Maintain accurate documentation and stay updated on tax regulations

Advanced Tax Specialist Requirements:

• EA or CPA designation required
• 2+ years of experience in tax planning or individual tax return preparation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong client communication and relationship-building skills
• Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate across departments
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• Familiarity with financial planning tools is a plus
