Position Title: Revenue Cycle Supervisor
A growing healthcare organization is seeking a Revenue Cycle Supervisor to lead a strong billing team and bring greater accountability, consistency, and results to its revenue cycle operations. This onsite leadership role will oversee a six-person team responsible for billing and denials while managing claims submission, accounts receivable, capitated payments, fee-for-service billing, and revenue reporting across multiple health plans.
The ideal candidate is a mature, accountable, and hands-on revenue cycle professional who understands healthcare billing, knows how to motivate a team, and can quickly solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Range: $54,000 – $77,000 / Year, DOE
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a six-person revenue cycle team consisting of billing and denials professionals
- Oversee day-to-day revenue cycle operations including claims submission, payment posting, denials management, and accounts receivable
- Manage billing and reimbursement across multiple health plans, including Medi-Cal and Managed Care payer contracts
- Oversee capitated revenue streams including member rosters, payment tracking, reconciliations and variance analysis
- Manage fee-for-service billing and ensure claims are submitted accurately and reimbursement is optimized
- Monitor outstanding claims, error reports, and denial trends while driving timely follow-up and corrective action
- Create and maintain reporting on billing, collections, AR, denials, and revenue trends to provide leadership with actionable insights
- Ensure compliance with CMS, Medi-Cal, DHCS, and payer-specific billing requirements while supporting internal and external audits
Requirements
- 3+ years of revenue cycle management experience with a strong understanding of healthcare billing cadence
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold employees accountable
- Hands-on experience with capitated payment models and fee-for-service billing
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, along with the ability to analyze and report on financial data
- Associate degree required, with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and manage multiple priorities
