A landscaping company is hiring a Lawn Maintenance Assistant Manager to support field operations and crew coordination across multiple properties. You’ll work closely with the Lawn Maintenance Manager to help crews stay on schedule, maintain quality standards, and troubleshoot issues. This is a field-based support and coordination role with a focus on crew productivity, training, and site logistics. They are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with deep landscaping knowledge and team leadership experience who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment.

Lawn Maintenance Assistant Manager Responsibilities:

• Assist in supervising and training crew foremen and team members
• Help manage site logistics, job assignments, and crew performance
• Ensure that each job site is properly staffed and crews are equipped for success
• Provide hands-on support with scheduling, logistics, and project setup
• Conduct field walk-throughs and quality assurance reviews
• Act as second-in-command to the Maintenance Manager; cover responsibilities when needed

Lawn Maintenance Assistant Manager Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in lawn maintenance, landscaping, or grounds management
• Strong knowledge of Florida plant material, turf diseases, and pest/fertilization practices
• Certified Pest Operator preferred; must be familiar with BMPs and pesticide handling
• Experience with irrigation system basics, especially Hunter and Rainbird timers
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Spanish-speaking strongly preferred
