Job Description
Position Title: Dealership Sales Manager
Build the team. Set the standard. Drive the growth. An established automotive organization is seeking an experienced Dealership Sales Manager to lead and scale the sales operation at a newly acquired location. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for developing the sales team, implementing effective processes, managing performance, structuring deals, and creating a customer-focused sales environment built for long-term growth.
The ideal candidate is a proven automotive sales leader who combines strong sales instincts with accountability, process discipline, and the ability to build a high-performing team.
Salary Range: $95,000–$155,000+ / Year, DOE, with flexibility in compensation structure and performance-based earning potential
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the dealership sales team to achieve individual and department goals
- Establish and implement effective sales processes, performance standards and best practices
- Conduct daily sales meetings, deal reviews and ongoing coaching sessions
- Manage CRM activity, sales pipelines, follow-up and key performance indicators
- Support deal structuring and collaborate across departments to create an efficient customer experience
- Oversee inventory strategy, merchandising and sales planning
- Recruit, onboard, and develop additional sales professionals as the department grows
- Partner with ownership to identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve performance, and scale the operation
Requirements
- 5+ years of dealership sales leadership experience preferred
- Strong automotive retail or dealership management experience
- Proven success leading, coaching, and developing sales teams
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales and revenue goals
- Strong understanding of dealership sales processes, CRM systems, and deal structuring
- Experience building processes and creating accountability within a sales organization
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a growing environment
- Strong communication, decision-making, and leadership skills
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of department performance
