A leading full-service legal firm is seeking a Litigation Associate for its Los Angeles, California office to manage a dynamic caseload from pleadings to trial. Responsibilities include handling discovery, conducting depositions, attending hearings, preparing and arguing motions, and supporting trial strategy. The firm is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented attorney with 3–7 years of civil and commercial litigation experience who thrives in a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment and is eager to grow toward a partner-track role.

Salary Range: $135,000 – $165,000 / year DOE

Litigation Associate Responsibilities: 

• Manage cases from initial pleadings through trial preparation
• Draft and respond to discovery requests
• Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts
• Attend court hearings and status conferences
• Prepare and argue motions and oppositions
• Support trial preparation and strategy discussions
• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex matters
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation

Litigation Associate Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree
• Licensed to practice law in California
• 3-5 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation (open to 5-7 years)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and meet billable requirements
