A values-based food distribution company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This role will focus on transactional accounting while supporting broader accounting functions across the organization. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited to grow into an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller in the future. Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Manage daily Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Trade Credit activities using NetSuite
• Assist with month-end close, including accruals and schedule preparation
• Support year-end reporting, insurance renewals, and property tax filings
• Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of products and vendors in the ERP system
• Collaborate across departments to provide general accounting support
• Monitor and report on financial data to support internal decision-making
• Maintain organized records and compliance with accounting standards
• Contribute to a friendly, collaborative, and fast-paced culture

Senior Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a high-volume environment
• Background in manufacturing or distribution required; food industry preferred
• Experience with ERP systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must be proactive, dependable, and a good communicator
• Familiarity with Slack or similar communication tools
• Positive attitude and adaptable to change in a fast-growing company
