A well-respected San Francisco law firm is hiring experienced Legal Assistants to support high-stakes plaintiff-side class action and antitrust matters by owning document production, advanced formatting, and federal filings. You’ll be embedded in active cases, partnering with attorneys and paralegals to keep fast-moving litigation on track and courtroom-ready. Salary Range: $85,000 – $120,000 / Year DOE

Legal Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, format, edit, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and correspondence
  • Apply advanced Microsoft Word formatting
  • Create document shells and ensure filings meet court and firm standards
  • Proofread for grammar, accuracy, citation consistency, and formatting compliance
  • Handle e-filings, primarily in federal court
  • Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to meet tight deadlines across multiple cases
  • Maintain and organize electronic and paper files in NetDocuments and related systems
  • Prepare binders and manage in-office printing and document production
  • Provide administrative and case support with a strong focus on litigation workflows

Legal Assistant Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Legal Word Processor
  • Experience supporting complex class action litigation
  • Advanced Word processing and heavy formatting expertise
  • Federal e-filing experience preferred
  • Experience with document management systems
  • Strong grammar, proofreading, editing, and transcription skills
  • Ability to work extended hours when litigation deadlines require it
  • Plaintiff-side litigation experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience working in fast-paced, large, or complex litigation practices preferred
