Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support a small accounting and purchasing team, ensuring accurate daily operations
• Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Perform and review month-end close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Analyze and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and purchasing to align accounting with business activities
• Ensure compliance with company policies and external reporting standards
• Handle large data sets and provide accurate, timely financial insights to leadership
• Lead the implementation and standardization of new procedures to drive efficiency

Accounting Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of inventory, purchasing, and cost accounting in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Advanced Excel skills
• Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a small accounting team
• Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and drive adoption across teams
