Job Description
Position Title: Financial Paraplanner
Build the technical foundation, client experience, and credentials to grow into a Financial Advisor. This Financial Paraplanner role offers the opportunity to work directly alongside experienced advisors, supporting clients through the full financial planning process from initial discovery and plan development through strategy implementation and ongoing account reviews. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to financial planning, investment analysis, and client relationship management while receiving professional development and training designed to advance your career.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to build a long-term career in financial planning. They are a collaborative problem solver with strong communication skills, sound professional judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion.
Salary Range: $60,000–$95,000 / Year, DOE
Responsibilities
- Attend prospect and client meetings alongside experienced advisors, capturing detailed notes and key follow-up items
- Gather and input financial planning data and assist with constructing comprehensive financial plans
- Collaborate with advisors to evaluate client needs and develop appropriate financial planning recommendations
- Research financial planning topics and strategies to support client recommendations
- Develop proficiency across portfolio analytics, financial planning, and client relationship management software
- Assist with investment analysis, financial plan implementation, and ongoing account reviews
- Communicate with clients as needed to gather information, answer questions, and support follow-up activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Positive, professional attitude with strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, exercising discretion, and using sound judgment when handling sensitive client information
- Interest in pursuing the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and developing into a Financial Advisor
